  • Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux vs. Astrolabio in Play For February 26 in Dubai

Filipino Vincent "Asero" Astrolabio, a fighter who works in the Manny Pacquiao Boxing Gym, has a very tough mission ahead of him. Plans are taking shape for the Astrolabio to face former world champion and complicated southpaw veteran "The Jackal" Guillermo Rigondeaux on Saturday, Feb 26, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Curious to know how Rigo will approach this. Hopefully he sees value in being more offensive and throwing more than a handful of punches per round. He clearly still has sublime movement and evasion skills (let’s be honest he made Casimero look like he couldn’t hit water in the ocean). I don’t know what kind of genetics Rigo has but in that shape at 41, they should be studying him up at Harvard Medical School.

Pointless fight, garbage career, and Rigondeaux will be completely forgotten in 5 years. Further proof that great amateur careers mean nothing when you don't cut it in the pros. Facts! Nash out. Nash is widely respected in England, as well as America and Viva La Mexico for his views and analysis on boxing.

Me too. I know he is a defensive specialist but that’s not a good enough excuse for his absolute non effort in his last fight.

The only Nash that gets respect is Steve Nash and in some circles among 90s wrestling fans, Kevin Nash. This Nash from boxingscene is perceived to be a borderline ret@rd who’s knowledge of boxing is so pathetic, he makes Stephen A Smith look like Bert Sugar.

No, because he's boring as hell.

You keep trying to paint me as a racist but that isn't working. Sh-t eater.

My guy Casimero scared Rigondeaux so much he's still running right now as we speak.

Boxingscene Hall of Famer. Multi boxingscene best poster vote winner + nominee. And you are? Yeah, that's right, nobody knows. You aren't known outside of your own basement. Nash out.
