  • Comments Thread For: Jake Paul on Facing Chavez Jr. Next: It's Interesting, I Like That Fight A lot

Social media star Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) likes the idea of a showdown with former WBC world middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Paul was in action last month, when he brutally knocked out former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in the sixth round.

Chavez wants 50-50 but they should do 40-40 & the winner gets 20.

Technically, if he beats Silva people will just say "you beat a guy near 50 who is not a boxer"

Stop being a dummy. He just talked about the "fight a real boxer" criticism. Fighting a 50 fight veteran Boxer fulfils that criticism. Fighting Silva does not regardless if he defeated Chavez. It's amazing how much hate this kid gets. You want to see him lose so bad that you're not satisfied with him stepping up dramatically and facing a 50 fight veteran to see if he can even do what Silva did. Surely, a novice boxer like Jake Paul is entitled to facing a past his prime boxer who has far more experience than him and still get some credit for stepping up, rather than poo-poo-ing the idea and insisting he fights Silva instead because Silva beat JCC.

You do realize that Tommy Fury and his representatives WOULD NEVER have him step up that much in only his 7th fight, considering the bums he has been fed. So even on that front, a Tommy Fury has to eat his words.

Jr would be the only legit fighter that Paul would had faced. Jr has shown stamina, chin and power in the past but that past 5 or 6 years he has been a real joke. He has no shame and simply can come to the fight to simply collect another big check from his father's last name.

Pretty much. It’s honestly not a big step up for Jake Paul, but it’s a step in the right direction. Technically fulfills that “face a boxer,” critique. No one’s taken Jr seriously, for, well, a long time.

Here is hoping that they hit each simultaneously with the hardest punches they have ever thrown and knock each other out cold. Then hopefully they will never disgrace the sport of boxing again with their presence inside the squared circle. You all don't get the idea that I don't like them, do you?
