The narrative around WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade remains that the career-defining fight continues to escape him. The 33-year-old Andrade (31-0, 19 KOs) has faced the likes Jason Quigley, Liam Williams, Luke Keeler, Maciej Sulecki, and Artur Akavov ever since winning the vacant 160-pound crown in 2018 against Walter Kautondokwa.

He’s got Charlo and for what it’s worth. Munguia at 60. You’re moving up to a division where one guy has cleared the division and owns all the belts and has zero interest in you? Okay…. I mean there’s Benavidez and maybe Charlo is moving up?

Maybe it’s easier to secure Plant now that he lost his 0 but BJS is retired barring one specific fight and Callum is gone. 160 was better if he could comfortably make weight IMO. Forget about Canelo it isnt happening. Too far outside the radar, too many other fights we’d rather see.

What a run at 160 for boo boo. Paper title and still has yet to face a current world champion in his career.

Charlo hasn't agreed to fight him since the incident at 154, and Mungia has repeatedly turned down the opportunity even though it's for a belt and he was mandatory, he has no other options really at 160, so the movie to 168 makes sense because at least there's a few names.

He will go up to 168, have another obscure run and not secure any big fights.

Unfortunately being mandatory means almost nothing in boxing today, because not every mandatory has gotten a title shot.

This guy should just retire. But I suppose there are still a few saps he can suck money off.

We all saw this coming the moment Zhanibek became mandatory. Andrade isn’t interested in tough fights, he just wants to cash out.

Andrade vs Morrell would be nice.
