    The final title fight of 2021 is officially set. Kazuto Ioka and Ryoji Fukunaga both easily made weight ahead of their WBO junior bantamweight title fight, which headlines the annual New Year's Eve show from Ota-Cty General Gymnasium in Tokyo. Ioka weighed 114.9 pounds, slightly heavier than Fukunaga who came in at a trim and fit 114.8 pounds.

        It was either proceed with the highest ranked available challenger or cancel the event altogether. Ancajas was the plan all along. Ioka and his team can't control the actions of the Japanese government.

            He's ranked 6th by the WBO, the title Ioka holds. No one else in Japan ranked higher. Also ranked 8 and 10 by the IBF and WBA.
