  • Comments Thread For: Andrew Moloney: I Hope I Can Get A Fight With Kazuto Ioka As Soon As Possible

Andrew Moloney has taken aim at another 115-pound champion now that his rivalry with Joshua Franco is behind him. The Australian contender called out WBO junior bantamweight champion Kazuto Ioka following his dominant 10-round victory over Froilan Saludar last Tuesday night in Sydney. Moloney is the WBO's 13th-ranked contender for Ioka's title, though he figures to move up in the WBO's ratings now that he has won a fight since Franco defeated him by unanimous decision in their third bout August 14 in at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

#13 and calling for a title shot?!

I think he needs to win at least another 2-3 fights against ranked guys

Is he the one who fought Inoue? He looked pretty skilled I thought. I mean, obviously; levels. But still, solid.

Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, is scheduled to face Carlos Cuadras in a WBC Superfly tournament. You got #2. Donnie Nietes drawing with #3. Norbelto Jimenez two weeks ago, screwing up or blocking the path. It would not come as a surprise if #4. Yanga Sigqibo faced off with the fabulous Prince Patel in a WBO eliminator before Andrew Moloney ever gets to the top five.

I'm sure Kosei Tanaka who suffered his first defeat at the hands of Kazuto Ioka and creeping up the WBO ranks would serve Andrew Moloney -- that or Francisco Rodriquez jr., who many feel should of got the decision over Ioka is a great way to get closer to a world-title shot across the four sanctioning bodies.

Plenty of action for Andrew Moloney.
