NEWARK - Joey Spencer picked apart Limberth Ponce mostly with once punch at a time for four-plus rounds Saturday night. Good win for Spencer. Fight was a little slow, and not much jabbing, but he finished him. Needs to keep that left hand guard active, because the other guy was catching him with rights and was trying to time him. Better opposition might have made him pay for that low left.

Good and impressive win for Spencer, though I’d like to see him jab more and employ combinations more

Spencer seems so overrated. 154 is a tough division. Don't see this guy at Charlo's level ever. Like others have mentioned he easily gets hit by journeymen. If he steps up competition he can really get hurt. That's why PBC will have him fight bums for another 10, 15 fights. Same thing with Mielnicki.

Joey Spencer is not moving like Xander Zayas, with a much longer head start! 2022 Make or Break year!
