Scores were 96-94 Nietes, 96-94 Jimenez and 95-95 even in their battle of hard-luck junior bantamweights, both of whom received conflicting instructions as to the length of the fight.

Yeah. That was strange. I was baffled by how Jimenez is not opening up and throwing. But I think it also helped him in a way. Because every time he opens up and throws, Nietes landed the cleaner punches. If it was a 12 rounder, it would've been a dangerous fight for him.
