  • Comments Thread For: WBA Sets December 13 Deadline For Leo Santa Cruz To Inform Of Featherweight Title Plans

One of the longest current title reigns in the sport is on the verge of ending outside the ring. Leo Santa Cruz has been instructed by the World Boxing Association (WBA) to offer a firm update on his future plans regarding the WBA "Super" featherweight title he has held since regaining the belt in January 2017. The near five year title reign is notable only in length, as the four-division has made just three defenses during his second reign and none since February 2019.

The double standards of the WBA they giving Santa Cruz a pass and they won't let Ugas have his unification fight with Spence and forcing him into a consolidation of belts.

The WBA/Haymon criminals are absolute garbage. They stripped others but Leo and Porky get a pass. It's truly disgusting and their garbage belts are even more meaningless because of them and their corruption.

Santa Cruz always been a C+ fighter. His biggest win was the Frampton rematch and don’t even say the Mares series were big wins either.

every title he won was a vacant title and he never fought actual top champs just guys who were in the top 20. Frampton and tank were the only fighters who were actual real champs and he lost.

                  Are you high?

Santa Cruz knocked out reigning WBC Super Bantamweight Champion Victor Terrazas, ranked #2 by TBRB at the time, in the 3rd round to take his belt.
