  • Comments Thread For: Gervonta 'Tank' Davis Relinquishes Secondary WBA 140-Pound Title, Will Remain At Lightweight

Gervonta 'Tank' Davis entered talks for his most recent fight with three different divisional titles in tow. That load has been reduced to one. The unbeaten southpaw has formally relinquished the WBA "World" junior welterweight title, the sanctioning body confirmed Tuesday. The development comes in the wake of Davis' most recent win, outlasting a determined Isaac 'Pitbull' Cruz (22-2-1, 15KOs) to successfully defend his WBA "World" lightweight title this past Sunday at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

It was a nothing belt anyway. He doesn't want any part of Taylor for a real belt.

I think Tank wants to fight Taylor unfortunately Mayweather Promotions Leonard Ellerbe are cowards and don’t believe in their own fighter, they know Taylor would whoop Tank. They’re too busy pimping tank. Tank gets paid barely a million minus 40% taxes, minus 10% of trainer fees and he takes home barely 500,000. Eddie Hearn had offered Tank 5 million to fight Tevin Farmer and Leonard Ellerbe himself rejected the offer smfh

wouldnt mind Regis jumping on the occasion but as it used to be a PBC belt Akhmedov will have the second crack at what would be called now a final eliminator or some interim chapionship belt
