Comments Thread For: Bellew Cautions That Makabu Will Have To Start Quicker To Beat Canelo
Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew is very familiar with Ilunga Makabu, who may become the next opponent for Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Imagine how unbearable Bellew would be if Makabu scored the upset.
understandably so. Bellew beat Makabu and if he beats Canelo, who beat Cotto, who beat Martinez, who beat Pavlik, who beat Taylor, who beat Hopkins, who beat Roy Jones, who beat Ruiz, who beat Holyfield, who beat Holmes, who beat Ali can only lead to the logical conclusion that Bellew>Ali. Duhhhh
I agree with you. Canelo is daring to be great. Going up 22-32 pounds to face the Champ will always be a hard task.
the champ? daring to be great? there are usually 4 champs in every division. he just wants a belt there, hes not facing the best. same thing he did at 160 when he beat cotto then said he was too small for ggg, created a fake division, then fought chavez jr at 168, same thing he did with kovalev and said hes not a 175 pounder so he couldnt fight beterbiev yet look at him now...thats certainly not greatness or if it is wow standards have certainly dropped.
What a bum this llunga Makapoop is : when llunga stepped-up vs. grandpa Glen Johnson, the old man went 9 rounds only to be stopped early due to his advance age. Then Makacaca met that English-Bum Tony Bellew for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title and got sparked in three rounds; in spite dropping Tony Bellew in the first round, the punch apparently did not faze the glass-jaw Brit.
llunga's KO ratio is overrated, Makapoop has never KO anyone good, so how is he going to KO a prime Culero Alvarez when he went life and death with 11-0 Euro-Bum Aleksei Papin -- who nearly knocked-him-out in the final round. Then Makabu goes the distance with 19-0 Michal Cieslak, the only undefeated opponent that had some experience that llunga managed to KO was Ruben Angel Mino in 2014, the Argentinian cab-driver ended up with 11 L's ; all KO's.
in 2020 llunga Makabu, finally got a KO over another grandfather ( that nearly whooped him ) Olanrewaju Durodola of Nigeria who had been KO a handful of times before that, three months later this stiff-African was back fighting nonstop throughout 2021 and is about to fight for the 4th time, but Makapoop has been inactive all of 2021 going into the biggest fight of his life, after the biggest layoff of his whole career.
Dont tell me that this bum llunga Makapoop is a threat.
