LAS VEGAS - Janibek Alimkhanuly abused a brave but faded former middleweight title-holder Saturday night. The promising middleweight from Kazakhstan stopped Hassan N'Dam in the eighth round of their scheduled 10-rounder on the pay-per-view portion of the Terence Crawford-Shawn Porter undercard. Alimkhanuly knocked N'Dam to the canvas late in the third round and basically battered him for seven-plus rounds before referee Kenny Bayless called a halt to the action at 2:40 of the eighth round at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino's Michelob ULTRA Arena.

N’Dam should’ve been limited to 154 his whole career. I’d say Quillin was always a Super Middleweight as was Andy Lee, guys just squeezing to Middle. It’s just that N’Dam has always hit the canvas against guys whom can easily compete at 168, like Lemieux. Surprisingly N’Dam usuals gets up, but not against a LHW squeezing to SMW like Smith. Again, N’Dam a 154 chin at best.

Smith would hydrate to 195lbs at 168 when he fought N’Dam. In all fairness to Janibek, Smith is significantly bigger

Eh, decent performance. He has good power, decent but not great defense, but poor variety of punches. Basically no jab. I can't see him going too far.
