The U.S version of Johnny Fisher a bit more skilled maybe slightly less heavy handed . What a fight it would be down the line .

He brings a following to the live gate which is a value in of itself. I've seen him fight a few times, he is a good regional level fighter but need guys like this for the good of the industry. I was even tempted to pick up one of his tee shirts they sell in the arena after chatting with his family. I wish Sonny luck.

Fury said Conto was the best sparring partner he had in camp for the second Wilder fight . It will be interesting to see who takes the forefront as the best U.S prospect him or Jared Anderson . Anderson has received more hype but that can change fast with Contos style .

That's interesting that Fury said that about Conto. His level of opposition wasn't the best when I saw him fight, but I didn't get the impression he had same potential as Anderson. He has a 1st round KO of Valdez Acosta who went 1-1 with Kingsley Ibeh...

Fury said Conto was the only one he couldn’t run over or something to that effect . Conto was also called little Klitschko before he turned pro ,I think he was a sparring partner for Wlad he must have been young though ?

My impression I get is he has great overall skills and can punch ,what separates him I think is his inside fighting ,Marciano like at times but able to transition to a long jab game at the same time . I believe he got the nickname Little Klitschko because of his jab and quick one / two shots behind it . I think he and Anderson would be the best U.S prospect fight by far if it happens .

You don’t really judge fighters at this stage they probably show a lot more as high end sparring partners ,I get more information on what actually the top guys say when they have prospects in the ring with them opposed to the actual early fights fighters have where they are just going through motions, imop Conto vs Anderson would be 50/50 if they fought next year .
