Devin Pillow Fists Haney keeps fighting old washed over the hill ex champions and can’t even stop them before the final bell and on top of that he gets hurt by them ‍♂️ This clown has said he won’t give Lomachenko a fight since loma didn’t give him a shot when loma was champion. Idiot, loma gained nothing from fighting you at the time, you were an unknown beltless kid , this clown and his cheerleader father wanna pretend everyone is avoiding them when they’re the ones hiding

      Not sure if I'm correct.
But I remember reading an article about how Matchroom / DAZN told Haney that they'd have to Renegotiate their contract when his prior one ended.
Seems like they weren't willing to pay him the same amount as the first contract.
So they wanted him to take a pay cut and were actually encouraging him to shop around other promoters.

All contracts get re-negotiated when they come to an end. That's just common practice. Teo Lopez just re-negotiated his contract and his wasn't even done yet. They want to be promotional free to get the big fights. And if those others won't fight him, he'll still fight on Matchroom shows on a fight by fight basis in the meantime. His next fight is being done by Matchroom, but he has no long term contract with them. Which gives him freedom.

Doesn't matter who they sign with or don't sign with. They are all avoiding Haney. Is Gervonta Davis avoiding him? No, of course not. It's Ellerbe and Mayweather that are keeping him from Haney. Haney shouldn't feel bad about this, as they are keeping him from fighting other top fighters also. Putting him against Romero just reiterates that. Is Teo Lopez avoiding him. For now yes, but to be fair he has Kambosos to deal with first. That said, then he will avoid Haney as he doesn't want that fight until they are at 140. That's because he's being stubborn after being brainwashed into thinking he's undisputed, and won't want to be seen to be backing down. Childish behaviour. Is Loma avoiding him? Of course he is. Ask yourself this. Why did they pursue the franchise title rather than file for exemption to delay his mandatory, in order to fight Lopez? This was a dick move by Top Rank. Why? Because as franchise holder, the winner wouldn't have to fight Haney. Total avoidance. However if they filed for exemption ( which would be the usual standard practice ) the winner would then be mandated to fight Haney. Something Top Rank and their fighters wanted to avoid. Dick move. Is Ryan Garcia avoiding Haney? 100% he is. Why? It's simple really. He knows he can't win. And the ironic thing is, that after Haney got wobbled by Linares he should now be more confident right? But clearly not. Garcia is a popularity seeker. And he can't risk that loss as then his popularity crumbles. He isn't good enough to win, except for a punchers chance, and he knows it. So it Doesn't matter what he does promotionally, they will keep avoiding him for the the time being. In a nutshell.

Devin Haney would be a damned fool to re-sign with matchroom/DAZN. If he does then I don't have to worry about watching his fights because he won't be fighting anybody.

I agree, as it keeps his options open. But he'll still do fight by fight with them. But he's available to go on a Top Rank, Showtime or GBP show anytime now. But will those 3 make offers to fight him? Not a chance unless he signs multi fight deals with them. They clearly want no part of Haney.

Haney is stuck in a lose/lose situation. The WBC basically said his belt is a trinket and not comparable with their "franchise" title and Haney really isnt a draw. He lost any recognition he built up from Shobox when he signed with Matchroom and fought on Dazn. He isnt known for highlight reel performances and nobody outside the hardcores know who he is so his drawing power is a little bit more than less than nothing.
