  • Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Thought About Suicide 3 Times Over Last Year

Teofimo Lopez Jr. defeated Vasiliy Lomachenko via unanimous decision in October 2020. The win was the highest of highs. But not too long after, however, the lowest of lows slowly crept up. After an ugly spat with Top Rank and a series of postponements on the forthcoming George Kambosos Jr. bout -- one of which surrounded on Lopez contracting COVID-19 in June during fight week -- the fight is finally on track once again.

There are millions with real mental issues and who are in really bad situations.

If someone is a professional athlete whose chosen sport causes so much misery, then quit.

No one has a right to be an athlete...find a regular job like the rest of us do or something that makes you happy.

As an aside, Loma is fighting Commey...

I dont want to hear all this nonsense talk just take your broken nose into the ring and get busy and shut your doubters up. Your last performance you dethroned the matrix it cant get much better than that but between then and now somehow you are being questioned . So stop talking and just get in the ring .Even your haters love you really

P.S Dont mention Taylor's name again especially with that catchweight bullsh8it

This is the generation to talk about mental health the old way wasn't working no more the "never let anyone know your true intentions" style. Too many brothers were lost that way (rip in heaven nagai Turpin from contender series) it is tons of pressure being on the top man. As fighters, they've been taught to hide their emotions and have a poker face. But like Mike Tyson said: we all bleed the same; red blood/blue blood.'' now are the days to talk about these things and get it off ones chest, now that is real!

I feel like the disappointment of not being who you want to be (by a certain time/age) or achieving what you envision is hard for people especially the ones who map out every second of their whole life.

I just go with the flow.

Kambo really fcuked Teofimo on this one. Now he's only getting 65% of the 3 million and the Triller payday is toasted.

You can see why he gets along with Fury. This is basically word for word a Fury interview, and they both delay fights and then feel sorry for themselves over it.
