The show will go on for Triller Fight Club, though without its originally planned main event. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that plans remain place to present a boxing card on October 16, a date the upstart promotional company targeted to feature of the oft-postponed lightweight championship between Teofimo Lopez Jr. and George Kambosos Jr. While the title fight remains in limbo--and the centerpiece for numerous legal complaints--the supporting cast will push forward for the show that will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

According to Kevin Iole and Yahoo Sports, Triller will no longer be promoting the Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos Jr. fight for undisputed. It will now be up to Eddie Hearn's Matchroom and DAZN to pick up where Triller left off. And if not them, then Bob Arum with TopRank.

It presently is unknown what the IBF have ruled in the matter, regarding whether Kambosos Jr. will be removed from the rankings or what will happen with the funds in escrow, but assuming that Triller is no longer promoting the fight, it is a safe better that Kambosos will still be fighting Teofimo Lopez and that the fighters will split whatever was held in escrow in case Triller defaults.

Triller have no right to try to get Kambosos removed as mandatory. They don't represent either fighter and its their incompetence that has caused the hassle. More likely the IBF will remove Triller from the equation.
