Caleb looked goofy as hell when he got pushed backwards. When he swung, Canelo's reaction was extremely cat-like. Idk why Caleb decided to swing without taking off his glasses first. Did he think Canelo wouldn't swing back, or that even if he did, he'd be able to see it coming with shades on? I said b4, Caleb is slick but not Pernell, Lights Out Toney, or Mayweather level slick. And his face has been busted up in previous fights. He cuts and swells and has shown b4 that he has somewhat tender skin. A fighter has to be able to avoid Canelo's shots all night long, because he doesn't need to land many to do major damage. Plant forgot the most important rule of street fighting. Feint first, then throw a combination. He casually walked up to one of the best counter punches in the game and expected to connect with a telegraphed left hook slap?

Canelo showed great poise under pressure from a bigger man and also demonstrated that hadn't the girl been there to catch Plant, he may have fallen off the edge.

Plant now has the motivation to really get inside Canelo's head - but I doubt it will faze him. Canelo is one o the most emotionally detached, phlegmatic, monosyllabic fighters ever, which has made him look an arrogant, don't care what the fans think, f^#k them anyway personality.

It certainly hasn't hurt his popularity as few can argue Canelo is a master of the sweet science, and always delivers entertaining fights.

He's surpassed Mayweather whose many fights were considered safety first bore fests, and the only two reasons people tuned in was to witness Mayweather's incredible speed, reflexes, boxing ability, unrivalled commitment to conditioning, and secondly the hope someone would finally humble 'Money' by putting him on his diamond crusted ass.

Is Plant the best 168 pounder Canelo is yet to face? Or is that Benavidez?
