  • Comments Thread For: VADA President "Stands By Decision To Maintain Single List Of Substances Prohibited At All Times"

Dr. Margaret Goodman isn't ready to throw in the towel in her fight for a cleaner and safer sport. The Hall of Fame-elected founder, president and board chairman of Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) has seen her company remain in the headlines as it relates to the upcoming ESPN boxing telecast this weekend in Tucson, Arizona. The event's headlining act is two-division and reigning WBC junior lightweight titlist Oscar Valdez (29-0, 23KOs), who was recently flagged by VADA after testing positive for Phentermine in advance of his title defense versus Robson Conceciao (16-0, 8KOs).

According to the WBC, Dr. Margaret Goodman doesn’t have all the facts. Valdez didn’t fail his test that badly and he’s a nice guy.

Therefore, he should be allowed to cheat.

Now you’ve gone and done it Vada….you will have angered the tribal “fans” by speaking the truth about PEDs. Prepare to have your social media b*mbed by an army of militants who feel it’s ok to cheat as long as you’re from an approved tribe….

The wrong guy pissed dirty. That's what this is.
It was no different when Yildirim pissed dirty or when Charlos "missed" the test.

Why doesn't VADA adhere to WADA standards? Is there any reason other than to bring more attention to themselves?

"2. Well over a thousand fights with no PED testing take place in the United States in an average year. And few fighters undergo PED testing in the weeks and months leading up to a fight." Imagine that... A eye opener.

Much respect, and salute Dr. Goodman! They report the results, if the WBC or whomever decides it's "tainted meat," or "herbal teas," and let the fights continue, please direct all anger and outrage at those folks, and not VADA! The so-called "Clean Boxing Program," is officially discredited!

"The matter was even argued by the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC), standing tall with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe in honoring WADA rule despite the fighters themselves agreeing to honor the guidelines that come with VADA testing."

Seems like shots fired by Dr. Goodman.

Yes, there's thousands of fighters getting punched and kicked in the head by drug cheats every year.
