  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: There's No Reason Why Ellerbe, Team Tank Shouldn't Reach Out To Fight Haney

Devin Haney's promoter hopes Gervonta Davis or Vasiliy Lomachenko are open to facing the unbeaten WBC world lightweight champion next. Eddie Hearn stated during his most recent appearance on "The DAZN Boxing Show" that Haney has resisted signing a new exclusive contract with DAZN so that there aren't any network or streaming service conflicts that could prevent either of those fights from happening later this year. Las Vegas' Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) wants either of those fights if he isn't first forced to make a mandated defense of his 135-pound crown against Joseph Diaz Jr.

Eddie is right. Also, no reason why Golden boy and Garcia shouldn’t reach out too. On top of that, Eddie maybe should reach out, show some respect to all parties involved and maybe get somewhere, instead of petty name calling and put downs he’s constantly dishing out in his interviews.

Crazy how Haney be having to pressure his mandatories into fighting him after they’ve won eliminators for HIS Title.

Yes there is- Floyd said out loud that they are doing in house fights. GBP is making in house fights for Ryan. Bob is matching his top LW’s against each other in house as well.

Hearn needs to do his job and secure quality opponents for Haney, not use the media as cover for his failure to do so.

Obviously Tank is doing quite well, so I think Hearn, and Bill Haney are the ones that should be doing the "reaching out!" It is sad to see how awful things have gotten for Haney and Andrade! They can't even get "in-house" fights!

Rather see Tank vs Ryan Garcia or Lopez and maybe Haney last of the 3

Agreed, Haney has no network agreement and is willing to fight anywhere. People keep killing him for his resume', yet none of the top names are exactly trying to get a fight with him either.

Yeah. I’m sure they both regret signing there.

Of course their not because he is high risk, low reward. So fans of the guys that don’t fight him talk about his resume and say he hasn’t “earned “ a fight with any of them.
