  • Comments Thread For: Little Man Rigondeaux Still Chasing Big Things at 118

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Remember Guillermo Rigondeaux? You know, he was the guy who had a spectacular amateur career - including two Olympic golds and two world championships - then turned pro and won and defended a title by the time he'd hit 10 fights.

Still remember PO'd Unkeee Bob grinding out loud when Rigondeaux embarrassed Donut Aire. He sure was pizzed Rigondeaux upset the apple cart. IMO it will be a tough fight, but Rigondeaux's skills will serve him well, yet again.

          “Julio Cena”
good to see spanish fighters getting their just dues on this site.

”WBA title fight why its trash”

Oh the irony, sh**s over regular WBA title fights, yet slobbers all over PBC champs, of which more than half are regular WBA champs.

Wondering what has Casimero done to deserve all of this prestige. His best wins are Tete (enough said) and Amnat Ruenroeng (after the latter beat him in the first fight).

I'm seriously considering to bet on a KO win for Rigo here. Totally different level, age or no.

I just wanted to give credit to Lyle Fitzsimmons for constantly trashing the WBA over the years with his picks at the end of his articles.

Good work for keeping that pressure on them. Judging by Gilberto Mendoza's recent comments the negative public perception of the WBA is starting to have an effect.

And Lyle's efforts have been a part of that.

so sad. if boxing were organized like UFC, Rigo could have been a cult hero. Like who can solve the puzzle?
