  • Comments Thread For: Zerafa Shifts Blame on Tim Tszyu: He Didn't Really Want This Fight

Junior middleweight contender Michael Zerafa had lashed out at his domestic rival, Australian superstar Tim Tszyu. They were scheduled to fight in a grudge match last week in Newcastle. However, Zerafa withdrew from the fight - claiming he was promised exemptions to the COVID-19 restrictions that would have allowed his team to fly in and out of without needing to quarantine upon returning home.

Tszyu camp clearly were lying the entire time..

they dragged him along thinking he would be forced into fighting under their conditions..

however, why does Zerafa have minimally 12-15 team members?? LOL is he Pac Man?

In his words. Three years in the making, planning and negotiating, Biggest fight of his career, biggest fight in Australia, his biggest payday to setup a title shot but pulls out because some of the small business owners in his 20 person team couldnt make it. Mate, you think everyones stupid and buys this bS?

Complete tosser shifting the blame onto someone else. Tszyu clearly wanted this fight, whereas Zerafa wanted a way out of it.

Dumb excuse, no one believes it. Not even zerafa.
time for tszyu to move on. We all knew what would happen anyway. Only reason the fight happened was due to this guy mouthing off.

zerafa lost the chance. The end

Those small business owners pay his bills, he is no American big shot he would live of sponsors handouts, his real team are probably a few but his paying team are the rest.

This is domestic Australia, Ive seen National champs given some tickets for their purse and they were sticking posters around town the day before the fight, who really knows what went on with Zerafa, Im like a spectator only in these things.

                  - You did not show up on the fight night into the ring. What's your excuse?
                  - The other guy did not show up happy on press-conference, he clearly didn't want to fight me. It's on him!

                  Fuk you, zerafa.
