Why would anyone "call out" Ennis to fight? What does he own that they might want ? Ennis is the man in the position to call out other fighters to build his own resume and reputation. It isn't the job of Champions to be calling out fighters but to fight the contenders their managers line up with the most lucrative bouts given the highest priority. If Ennis can line up fights with Porter , Thurman , Garcia and knock them off he will have his chances at the Spence's and Crawford's.
So Spence saying the only way Porter gets a rematch is for Porter to put himself in Spence's path.
And he also saying Ugas should fight Ennis.
i see what Spence is doing.
He basically saying Porter has to beat Crawford and Ennis has to beat Ugas.
Both of those guys have the belts that Spence wants.
So if Porter and Ennis don't fight Crawford and Ugas next, respectively, then Spence will be fighting Ugas and Crawford next and not Porter and Ennis.
Makes sense. The guy already been saying he wants to move up for a while now, making 147lbs aint easy for him.
In fact he wanted to fight Pac and Crawford and then move up, but the WBA refused to reinstate Pac as super champ which means Spence still has to fight another two fights to become udisputed.
To then have to fight Porter and Ennis on top of that is overkill for a guy already bursting at the seems in this weight.
So with that said, its either Ugas and Crawford next, or Porter and Ennis, if they can beat Crawford and Ugas, and of course, if Ugas and Crawford grow some balls and take those fights.
