Masayoshi Nakatani doesn't expect the same version of Vasiliy Lomachenko as the one who fell short to Teofimo Lopez last year. Of course, the version of Lomachenko that he expected to show up that night would be bringing the WBA/IBF/WBO lightweight titles into the ring this weekend.

Lopez sure did show a way to fight Loma: create distance with a constant jab, hold him when he comes in and even push. Lomachenko is deadly on the inside and at close distance, that’s where he tees off on people at angles and throws hellacious body shots. And Nakatani has to be the aggressor the whole fight, if Loma doesn’t feel a threat his going to run him over.
