  • Comments Thread For: Pedraza: Willing To Do Whatever It Takes To Get To Josh Taylor Or Whoever Is Champ

Jose Pedraza didn't need any more motivation heading into a fight with an undefeated opponent. Still, the former two-division champ entered his junior welterweight clash with Julian Rodriguez with a clear goal in mind--live up to the standards established by the division's top two rated fighters. Josh Taylor edged out Jose Ramirez in their undisputed 140-pound championship just three weeks prior at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, the same venue that hosted Pedraza's 8th round stoppage of Rodriguez earlier this month.

Maybe Josh Taylor fights Jose Pedraza ( as a late replacement ), the rumor is that Taylor is ducking Teofimo Lopez and Terence Crawford. Taylor, is too scared to make a move, the 'Tart-Tomato' wants to hide in the UK and shield himself from threats behind bum mandatories, like that English-Bum Jack Catteral. Jose Pedraza should stay in the gym and get ready for that call.

Yeah, if he would only take on an undefeated champ, or a former champ, or a current champ, then he would prove he wasn't scared. He's been hiding for 18 fights already.

Josh Taylor's bold attitude drastically changed after he won a close decision against Jose Ramirez. I guess that now that Josh is at the peak of the mountain, with all the gold, he finally appreciates the fruits of his labor, and logically the thought of losing it all must weigh on his mind very heavily.

For some people, success Is more difficult to manage than failure. Josh Taylor comes from a broken background, he will not maintain this new delicate structure in his life, he is a goof, men like him are not qualified for this position.

It's great to hear Jose Pedraza, talking that way, he really wants to become a 3 time champion, in as many weight classes.
He's supposed to take on the undefeated lions, that are coming up in the ranks, so that he stays relevant and sharp.
That was a masterful display of boxing, sharpshooting, switch hitting, and yes there was punching with power.
He was jolting Rodriguez's head back with almost every punch, caused bruising and swelling on both of his eyes, he also
fractured his left orbital bone in a few places.
If the corner hadn't stopped the beating, Rodriguez would've been stopped on or off his feet before the final bell rang.
All the negativity being heaped on Josh Taylor, isn't warranted and has any basis for it.
He fought, and beat all of the contenders who were in a tournament to crown the undisputed champion of the division.
His victims were Martin 22-0, Baranchyk 19-0, Prograis 24-0, Khongsong 16-0, and unification with Ramierez 26-0, five undefeated fighter's
          with a combined record of 107-0, (74 KO's).
He deserves all of the props, and kudos that come along with his hard earned achievements.
I can't remember any boxer beating that many undefeated fighter's in a row, I'm not saying he's the greatest.
What I'm saying is that he's beaten more than his fair share of top notch fighters in his division, he is the best at this point and time.
