  • Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: If I Fought Loma Again, He'll Get Knocked Out & He Knows It

LAS VEGAS - Teofimo Lopez hasn't paid much mind to the comments Vasiliy Lomachenko recently made about their fight. The former three-division champion told ESPN's Mark Kriegel that after watching his loss to Lopez repeatedly, Lomachenko is convinced that their 12-round, 135-pound championship match should've resulted in a draw. Lopez upset Lomachenko by unanimous decision October 17 to retain his IBF belt and won the WBA, WBO and WBC "franchise" championships from the Ukrainian southpaw.

Yea he knows it, thats why he asked for the rematch and yoy didnt give it. Loma would show significant improvemen as in not waiting till round 7 to actually start throwing his hands. Would definitely be a competitive fight.. 50.50 id say.

Lopez clearly won, but late in the fight Loma stunned Lopez and had him holding on. That said the rematch could go either way

I don’t doubt that. The only way Loma could win is letting his hands go earlier and it puts him at serious risk of getting caught big-time.

That’s an over statement. Lopez wasn’t stunned, just tiring and getting his head shaken but Loma never caught him with anything that big.

And why do you suppose he didn’t le his hands go earlier? Danger that’s why. He starts earlier he gets clipped

So, here we go with the “rematch” b u l l s h I t. On one hand we have a lot of Karen’s screaming how rematches keep holding up the movement of divisions and how we scream fo total unifications. Then in the same breath we cry when our chosen fighter that we adorn our rooms with posters doesn’t win and demand rematches. Which is it? You can’t have it both ways. P h u c k rematches. You lose you move on and the champion works towards unification. Once unified then revisit the damned rematch.

Boxing has some of the most conflicted contractictory fans in all of sports.

it wasn't a one punch shot. It was a combination that stunned him and he definitely held

Lets not forget It was Lopez that refused a rematch and not Lomachanko and Lopez continues to make excuses for not re-matching Lomachanko. Get that straight.

Nakatani's size gave Lopez all he could handle, lets see what Lomachanko does against Nakatani,

Lopez was successful at pushing Loma off on the inside and Loma didn't adjust until late. Frankly, win or lose, the tactic of pushing off on the inside won't work a second time around and Lopez and his father know it.
