  • Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: We Want To Get Zurdo Ramirez To 52-0, Break Record That Floyd Mayweather Holds

Among the many common interests shared by Oscar De La Hoya and Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez is the desire to make history together. Ramirez saw De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions as the best fit to his career moving forward, as the former WBO super middleweight titlist aims to become a two-division title claimant. Just get him some real opponents, and a real fight...like this one!

Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Egidijus Kavaliauskas reportedly set for August 14th

Egis Klimas, manager of former welterweight title challenger Egidijus “Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas, tells Steve Kim that a fight between his charge and Vergil Ortiz Jr. is “finalized” for August 14th, though they’ve yet to secure a venue. The pair are respectively ranked #5 and #1 by the WBO at 147 pounds, meaning the winner could find himself in line for a crack at Terence Crawford.

With the competition he's been facing, Ramirez can retire at 200-0.

Oscar still obsessed with Floyd Mayweather lol. Well he can join the club, seems to be a lot of ultranationalists who obsess with Money. Must have been the fact that floyd made fun of Oscar during their buildup lol
