Even though Jarrett Hurd moved up from junior middleweight to fight natural middleweight Luis Arias, Hurd was the bigger fighter. Despite the size disparity, Arias was the more aggressive fighter, constantly bullying Hurd to the ropes behind barrages of well placed punches. Arias landed 40% of his power punches (153 of 380). Hurd tried to work off the ropes on the inside, but a lot of his uppercuts were smothered.
