  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney: I Don't Feel Like I Need To Stop Linares; If The Stoppage Comes, It Comes

By Keith Idec - LAS VEGAS - Devin Haney wouldn't budge Thursday. No matter how many reporters asked after their press conference, Haney wouldn't predict a knockout of Jorge Linares on Saturday night. Haney wouldn't even allow Amari Jones, a junior middleweight prospect he mentors, to answer when Jones was asked during a joint interview if Haney will beat Linares by knockout.

it really seems like haney is nervous. Hes usually a cocky loudmouth. If it goes to decision then haney is an absolute bum

Gamboa had only ever lost by stoppage until facing Haney. Linares only ever lost by stoppage as well, but is a considerably bigger guy. Though arguably just as chinny but less defensive and won't just try to survive. Still I'll probably put something on Haney Decision if I can get it at 2/1 or better.

Probably an easy win for Haney, but is Lopez next, if he can beat Kambosos? That'd be a real fight, and stylistically difficult for Lopez.

Nobody is expecting Haney to win by KO...ever! Just win, get the bag, and get ready for Teofimo Lopez!

He needs a stoppage, Yes, Linares got knocked out in the first by Cano, at 140, so you can say Cano is bigger, but how about Juan Carlos Salgado, who knocked him out in the first at 130? He needs a K.O.

I'm seriously debating dropping money on Linares even though I'll probably lose money.
