Three division world champion Claressa Shields (11-0), 26-years-old, will make her MMA debut next month for PFL. Shields will face Brittney Elkin on June 10 in Atlantic City. The two-time Olympic gold medal winner is not looking to make any mistakes in the cage - like chasing a knockout victory.

If shields transitions well into mma she will never go back to boxing based on the money/attention she’ll get.

I just don’t see it, but anything is possible.

women’s boxing is just awful, and the talent pool is abysmal.
it’s like Women’s basketball, no one watches it.
ps.. what were the numbers for her all women’s PPV ?

The wear and tear of MMA on its participants may well guide Shields back to boxing regardless of her MMA success and paydays.

She's gonna get subbed in one round by any basic grappler.

I think she sold 1.2 million PPV's. But yes...I can see her transitioning at some point.

                  No she won't.

MMA is generally a very low level "sport" the first clean punch that lands will shatter her opponents non existent chin.

I believe her PPV numbers eclipse the email champ Haney’s unpaid numbers.
