  • Comments Thread For: Lundy: Zepeda Was There To Be The Opponent Versus Baranchyk And Just Got Lucky

The mentality is always the same for Hank Lundy every day he steps into the gym. Train every day, stay prepared and eventually the phone will ring with the right opportunity. That day arrived in late April, when Jose Zepeda was in need of an opponent for a May 22 date on ESPN. Lundy (31-8-1, 14KOs) immediately agreed to terms less than a month ago for this weekend's fight, which takes place at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 37-year-old Philadelphia native entered the equation after the Nevada State Athletic Commission rejected Mexico's Pedro Campa as an opponent.

Hank doesn't even believe what he's saying .... But someone's gotta hype him up!

Got lucky by knocking his opponent down five times in a fire fight

Lundy better be careful or Zepeda might knock him into retirement.

Zapeda is going to box him for about 6 minutes. A body shot might end it, mercifully, but Zepeda wants to impress, he might blast Lundy just to get it over with.

I've always liked Lundy and his style actually matches well with Zepeda, but at 140 Zepeda will be simply too big and powerful.

Do you think Zepeda might have 'aged' like10 fights in one fight? I wonder when a fighter's punch resistance just GOES causing them to become old overnight. Just wondering?

Lundy is out of words, and has no hope whatsoever. Zapeda will box his ears off, and Lundy's corner will stop it.

This one of those fights where age may or may not make a difference it depends on lifestyle and how Hank lives outside of boxing. Hank has fought some very good competition and only have been stopped by two champions so unless age is a factor I can’t see him being stopped!
