  • Comments Thread For: Jose Ramirez-Josh Taylor Weigh-In Results From Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Jose Ramirez was much more animated Friday as he went nose-to-nose with Josh Taylor than he was following their press conference Thursday. Ramirez talked trash back to Taylor after they weighed in at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas for their 140-pound title unification fight Saturday night. Ramirez, of Avenal, California, stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission's scale first at 139.6 pounds. Taylor, of Prestonpans, Scotland, officially weighed the same amount, 139.6 pounds.

Let’s go Josh!!! Just don’t listen to anything Davison says and you should be fine. You’re levels above Ramirez.

Best fight this year I think Taylor stops Ramirez late, then if that lazy blob Tank wants the work that fight is easy money for Taylor.

You’ll see tomorrow night. Prograis would school the Ramirez. Postol beat him and Zepeda arguably did too. Taylor is a far superior fighter.

Taylor is an Olympian too dumbass, he arguably had a better Amateur career than Ramirez.

Prograris? Lmao that bum has beaten nobody of note and he still gave Taylor a run for his money, as did Postol. Taylor ain’t nothing special...all flash and no substance. He’s gonna find out what it’s like to fight a Mexican warrior and unfortunately for him he’s gonna get wrecked, just as it’s been happening recently to all other euro trash at the hands of Mexicans.

Taylor is far better than the likes of Saunders and Ramirez is far worse than the likes of Canelo.

We’ll find out Saturday… I’m supremely confident Taylor beats Ramirez nothing will change that.

Josh has size and boxing skill. Ramirez is a mad bomber. He has a decent defense, considering his aggression. A big ring is Josh country and he may be more popular in Vegas than he thinks. 20+ feet, or about 6m and Ramirez may not be able to force the issue. Josh already gets two points for his accent, I wouldn't be surprised to see that Canelo v BJS ring again.

It will be explosive! Thanks TR and ESPN for this Super Fight, absolutely FREE. 2 unified undefeated champs at their peak, 5 belts in play... La crème de la crème!

Taylor is a very talented rangy southpaw, with more speed and good footwork. Both guys are really tough and can punch, but I think Ramirez has better organic resistance and more heart... Ramirez also has the crowd on his side with a better trainer(and team) in my opinion. It will be extremely close, anything can happen, but José's educated pressure and his relentless inside work will prevail.
