  • Comments Thread For: Triller Files Lawsuit Against 12 Websites Alleging Piracy Of Paul-Askren Pay-Per-View

The vow from Triller Fight Club to serve as a disruptor in the boxing industry has now extended into online piracy. Triller Inc. has launched a nine-figure lawsuit seeking damages from streaming websites FilmDaily.com, CrackStreamsLive.com and at least 10 specified outlets as well as 100 unnamed parties. The 20-page complaint--a copy of which was obtained by BoxingScene.com--was filed on Friday with the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California, alleging the illegal distribution of its April 17 Pay-Per-View event headlined by a cruiserweight bout between YouTube star Jake Paul and mixed martial artist Ben Askren.

Stop hurting Jake Paul numbers! We need these figures to troll MMA fanboys.

So....more people stole it than bought it.

Like I tried to tell people on Reddit...when you have your commentary team drinking and smoking weed and some random guy actually trashing the product between fights, plus terrible music including Bieber yelling at a crowd that isn't there and basic fights...you're not putting forth a professional presentation. It's doomed to fail.

Bro, what are you talking about? Even with all the piracy, 1.3 million sold, on the low end, are terrific numbers lol. Ya just try to find anyway to discredit thriller and/or Jake.

It's a smart move by Triller It's not about collecting damages for Paul/Askren it's about putting out a big lawsuit to put fear and try to limit those mentioned in the lawsuit and anyone else that will try and host pirate streams for future Triller PPVs. Fight was already a success did 1.3-1.5M PPV buys and they trying to limit illegal streams for the next PPV. NBA head coach complaining about the refs after the game it's not about the game that was already played it's to try and influence calls in your favor for the next game.

Good luck with that. Music industry gave up seriously fighting piracy years ago with all their resources. This will go nowhere

                    Let's analyze that.

If you had a choice between someone handing you $50 million or someone else handing you $250 million dollars...where the only requirement for you to get the $250 million is that you have to actually take a shower...

In your mind, just walk around dirty and smelly and it's still $50 million, YOLO. Right?

Because that's what you're basically saying.
