  • Comments Thread For: Jake Paul Fires Back at White: Why Are UFC Fighters So Underpaid Versus Boxers?

Youtube star Jake Paul has fired back in the direction of UFC President Dana White. Earlier this month, Paul raised his pro boxing record to 3-0 with a first round stoppage of retired UFC fighter Ben Askren. Paul was ringside for this past Saturday's UFC 261 pay-per-view from Jacksonville, Florida.

It's not a good look for Dana White if Jake Paul really is making more money than any fighter in UFC history.

UFC fighters are disgracefully underpaid. Robert Whittaker was paid $210,000 for his 5 round fight against Gastelum. Not enough IMO

Clever guy. He went after Cormier because he knows Dan is a UFC stooge and keeps his tongue up Dana's ass.

No way has Jake Paul made more for a fight than Conor did.

If UFC paid guys like top boxers it'd be very bad for the sport from a fans perspective tbh, a lot of MMA fans support paying the fighters better and dont get this. You'd have to say bye bye to the big supercards and regular big fights because they'd cost a fortune in fight purses to get done while not doing any better numbers than they do currently. The pay and the relative UFC monopoly are two of the major reasons why its able to be such a well oiled machine compared to boxing.

Also the UFC guys and Dana should just keep doing their thing and ignore Jake at this point. Its already bad enough having to hear about him constantly in boxing.

I saw someone post one of his replies to White, not sure what media platform it was on, but he oddly said in the same paragraph that he made more than any UFC fighter in history, then at the bottom contradicts himself by basically saying, well not as much as Conor or Khabib anyway...

Maybe in his 3rd fight he got so much money total for his 3 fights that it is more than any UFC fighter had total in their fights.
