Just five months after announcing his retirement, heavyweight contender David Allen has taken to social media to confirm his planned return to the sport of boxing. The 29-year-old Allen was scheduled to return to the ring last November, as part of the Conor Benn-Sebastian Formella card, but after his fight fell out he made a decision to walk away from the sport.

This was inevitable his fans on social media don't help egging him on and he doesn't know anything else other than boxing probably needs the money too and figures he's giving his fans what they want.

Allen's best win was against Nick Webb when he landed that hail Mary. Webb went on to win a heavweight one night tournament with 8 fighters, 3 round fights, called the Boxxer it was a nice concept they did it for other weight divisions too good viewing for the evening. Allen could compete in something like that against other good journeymen and it could be entertaining.

I love it when the first comment is the perfect comment.

Dave need to get out of boxing. Do his management thing or w/e he was talking about doing. Get a real job if necessary. He's just trading brain cells for cash at this point.

Fantastic! He needs to have a long, club level career fighting guys like De Mori and Gjergjaj in front of his fans, lots of good money for him to make without having to fight actual top guys

                Lol

he’s retired and come back about 8 times

I said on here last time he said he retired that he will be back

I think because he’s got a personality, he thought he might be getting offers for things like punditry when he retired but hasn’t done much so he’s going to fight again. Everyone has to make a living and he won’t have made life changing money. And your savings soon start dwindling when there’s not much coming in.

Hes slightly less skilled than dillian whyte and David price, but if uk punters are dumb enough to pay to watch him on ppv, let him fight.
