  • Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis-Mario Barrios, Lubin-Rosario On Showtime PPV June 26; Site TBD

By Keith Idec - Gervonta Davis' move up to the 140-pound division is official. Premier Boxing Champions and Showtime announced Thursday that the undefeated Davis will meet Mario Barrios in a Showtime Pay-Per-View main event June 26 at a site to be determined. The four-fight show also will include an intriguing 12-round, 154-pound bout between former IBF/IBO/WBA champ Jeison Rosario and Erickson Lubin.

The prestigious WBA Regular title is main eventing a PPV

"Josh Taylor is widely viewed as the WBA’s legitimate champion in that weight class."

widely viewed? Who disagrees with that?

        No.

No. Borderline Tank nut hugger...but nope. This man is really going out of his way, going past a hot division, and doing it all while avoiding the best fights at 30 and 35?

(Still gun’ watch tho...but someone else better be paying for it.)

Tank moving to 140 doesn’t interest me at all, there are far better options at 135 or even 130.

Think Tank is gonna be too small here for Barrios

Fake belt, not even PPV worthy. Showtime is getting pretty gross with this nonsense. Looks like he is avoiding the top guys at LW. What a clown.

We don't even know if his power will travel to 135 the same way, let alone at 140. This is kind of a WTF type of decision by his team....Barrios is far from great but he's tough and does have good pop. Hunter is going to have him staying on the outside and trying to just out jab the crap out of Tank.

Either way, he's definitely coming down after this fight.

I don't think this will go long. Ahkmedov almost couldn't miss with his right hook and he's not the puncher that Tank is.

Would be a excellent Card if it was just on Showtime but no this Main Event is not PPV Worthy

I LOVE Lubin vs Rosario though
