  • Comments Thread For: Whyte: Fury, Wilder Get Too Much Credit For Their Padded, Cherry-Picked Records

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte is questioning the top level status of WBC world champion Tyson Fury. Last month, Whyte avenged a brutal knockout loss from last August when he stopped Alexander Povetkin in four rounds. The victory gave him the WBC's interim-world title, which places him in a very good position for a potential world title shot in the future.

What a deluded clown this man is lol.

Who is Whytes best win again? A covid-riddled shot 41yr old Povetkin who still managed to KTFO Whyte in the first fight?

I’d say a Covid-riddled Povetkin is still better than an ancient Ortiz on blood pressure meds and every other hopeless fighter on Wilder’s record, so he’s not wrong there. I’ve always said that Wilder is the most overrated HW champion in history - just look at his record and point out who else is there that’s better than Povetkin, Parker, Oscar Rivas and even Chisora. How can you call yourself a king when you’re knocking out absolute nobodies?

Fury’s only saving grace is a Klitschko win, which wasn’t run back again as Whyte mentioned, so he’s not exactly wrong there because outside of that his record is terrible for an elite HW.

Fury would almost certainly have his way with Whyte, but the fact that the limited Whyte has beaten more ring rated fighters than either Fury or Wilder is pretty laughable.

Tyson Fury always plays the victim but is the luckiest boxer around.

Robbed John McDermott got knocked down by journeyman and life and death with CW Cunningham

Got caught taking steroids after beating Christian Hammer yet was allowed to fight Klitschko 9 months later.

failed more PED tests than any other boxer never mind Champion in history yet nobody says anything

Fought a string of low ranked average boxers then
was given a voluntary shot by Wilder instead of fighting Whyte

Fury incredibly lucky with referees both Wilder 1 and Wallin fight should of been stopped

Never gave Klitscko or Wilder there contracted rematches.or defended his titles once but says he greater than Ali etc

          the list goes on

Funny thing is, if Fury beat him, he wouldn`t get any credit for that.

Whyte hasn't done anything in boxing. Rivas dropped and hurt him despite being a stiff and not even a real HW, he lost to Chisora the first time, and was comfortably losing the second until the ref started taking away points unfairly and forced Chisora to open up and look for the KO.

He fought the worst version of Parker and was still stumbling round the ring like a drunk, that fight had gone on for another 10 seconds, he gets stopped.

Chinned off a 40yr old Povetkin, Whytes best performance was KOing Lucas Brownie who himself was depressed af and didn't even bother training.

And this guy tries to compare himself to Tyson Fury, the man who shut out and dethroned the champion Klitschko in his own backyard, a man who had barely lost a round in 12 years, and the 5yr reigning champion Wilder who before losing to Fury was widely regarded as the most dangerous man in boxing and one of the hardest punchers to ever lace them up.

Whyte is a bum, Fury schools him and Wilder KTFOs him just like AJ did.

                Whyte is dead right.

Now that doesn't mean Whyte is better than either of them, but he's 100% right about their records.

                A lot to be proven.

Mate what the hell is wrong with you? Anyone can easily pick holes with Fury, just as you’ve done with Whyte. Got a gift against the journeyman McDermott, went life and death against an ex-cruiser, beat the worst version of Klitschko in a fight that shouldn’t have happened if he was correctly banned for his failed PED test after the Hammer fight, beat the most overrated HW fighter ever whose top opponents have been knocked out by the likes of Chisora and Charles Martin, and he was extremely fortunate the first Wilder fight wasn’t waved off.

This is why picking holes is so stupid - you’re throwing stones in a glass house. Simple facts are Whyte has more ring rated wins than either fighter, which is his main point, so you can’t call him deluded. Whether either fighter would beat Whyte is a matter of opinion until those fights actually happen.
