  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney-Jorge Linares Set For May 29 At Mandalay Bay In Las Vegas

Devin Haney lives and trains in Las Vegas, but he hasn't fought in his adopted hometown in almost five years. That's about to change. BoxingScene.com has learned that the 22-year-old Haney's WBC world lightweight title defense against Jorge Linares has been scheduled for May 29 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The unbeaten Haney's bout with Linares will mark the emerging 135-pound champion's first fight in Las Vegas since May 2016, when he was just 17. DAZN will stream Haney-Linares worldwide as a main event on the Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend in the United States.

Wasn't this the date TR had targeted for Crawford's PPV fight?

Good fight, sink or swim time for Haney. Gotta give him respect for taking the fight, Linares ain’t an easy out for anyone especially @ 135 lbs.

This is a pretty simple fight to predict and we know Linares can’t win on points, but will Haney try to hurt and stop him is the big question. I believe if Haney tries he can stop him but he has to make it up in his mind, I’m going to take chances and that’s what’s stopping him from having great performance in most his fights.

Absolutely disgraceful that Haney gets stuck fighting Linares. Boxing is dead and people wonder why when you have cowards like Lomachenko, Ryan Garcia and Teofimo Lopez who refuse to get in the ring with Haney.

This is a good fight. Linares will test Haney.

Not Bad, Vegas really need to get back on track I sure it will be a influx of events in Vegas for sure. Great for the fighters because they will have to offer big Site Fees

Haney Picks Linares apart but a respectable name for young Haney to add to his Resume now hopefully Ryan Garcia takes that Fortuna Fight!

Not the fight I’d like to see Haney in but obviously Ryan Garcia didn’t want anything to do with him despite being mandatory. Now watch how the same fans that were acting like Ryan beating Campbell was a big deal will crap on this fight despite the fact that Linares beat Campbell.
