Vera scored a bizarre knockout victory of Cleotis 'Mookie' Pendarvis in the opening round Thursday night at the Civic Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. Vera, who resides in Fort Worth, Texas, goes to 20-1, 12 knockouts.
