MIAMI - Under normal circumstances, Eddie Hearn would hope to draw a sizable crowd for Demetrius Andrade's next hometown fight. The unbeaten WBO middleweight champion's promoter would settle for whichever reasonable number of fans government officials in Rhode Island will allow for his upcoming title defense. Hearn informed BoxingScene.com that he intends to bring Andrade's mandated title defense against Liam Williams to the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Andrade's hometown of Providence on April 17.

Why do you have Andrade AND GGG and not make that fight!! Nobody wants to see another Liam get sparked! Besides how many Liam's are there? There are more Liam's than Wayans lol

Absolute trash fight (I had really hoped to avoid ever watching another Liam Williams fight), but at least Andrade is doing... something.

The moment of truth is almost here for Liam Williams (#8 in the rankings) believers.

Criticizes Canelo for fighting Callum Smith.

Then turns around and fights Liam Williams.

What a waste of a career, people who bring up Canelo ducking Andrade don't acknowledge the paper thin resume he has. Fight Charlo and the winner there can start calling out the top dog. They both need a win over somebody decent at 160 or abpve because the days at 154 have long since passed. One queation for the Charlo/Andrade goons, since all 3 have competed at 160 or above who has the strongest resume? The answer is simple and it isn't even close.

This is actually a good step up for Andrade. His most lively opponent in a while IMO.
