Mr. Benedetto Montella of Italy resigned from his post as IBF European Representative on August 1, 2008 after more than two decades of working with the organization. Montella indicated his reasons for resigning were due to business and personal matters. "My resignation is mainly due to my first professional activity in the tourism industry, which keeps very me busy, particularly during April through October and thus not allowing me to properly follow the boxing activity.
