    Malignaggi was Magical

Paulie stuck to his game plan and was properly advised by Buddy McGirt. Curtis Stevens needs a new trainer that will really kick him in the ass and develope his raw talent. Rozier is simply a amateur trainer. As for Dirrell he is still green in utilizing his switch and boxing technique, again he needs to get rid of Grand Pa. There is a point in time when a boxer needs a more experienced mentor in his corner. Yes Dirrell won but didn't impress HBO and definitely not the crowd, Showtime failed as well but I think it came from his training due to the fact that he had sparred with a heavyweight and Muriqui, not the type of slick sparring boxers you need in preparation. It all goes back to the trainer. Good Luck to both fighters

Andre Rozier is a good trainer!

Paulie was magic and that is a great article, Mr. Colagero, however regarding Curtis Stevens one shouldn't assume that the corner didn't give proper instruction based on an HBO edited version. In post fight interviews, his trainer, Rozier was frustrated that Stevens didn't listen to his direction. I think that the opponent ran too fast for him, he couldn't keep up with the speed. This was suppose to be a boxing match, not a track run. I agree with you he does have a bright future in boxing with Andre Rozier by his side.

          Adjustment

The key word here is ADJUSTMENT. A good corner will make the correct adjustment DURING the fight. It does not matter if a fighter is a runner or not, a fighter and his corner MUST make an adjustment to combat it. Curtis Stevens' corner failed to do that no matter who's falut it was.
