  • Mosley, Collazo and the Cyclical Nature of History

The 14th century historiographer Ibn Khaldun probably wasn’t thinking about boxing when he wrote his theories on the cyclical nature of history, but his philosophies certainly seem to hold true in today’s version of the fight game. [details]

My biggest problem with the comparison is that Collazo is no Arguello. Who thinks that Luis can land one monstrous left and win the fight? His record doesn't show him to be a power puncher. In the Arguello fight they go as far as to say he was being out boxed all night. If that happens to Collazo it'll be the end for him. The bigger puncher here is clearly Shane....and while I'm not saying Luis has no shot in hell...I highly doubt he will win by KO or enforce his "power" on Mosley. Why are we comparing him to Arguello...on what basis? He's no big hitter...he hurt a smaller, out gunned Hatton and still couldn't finish the show. I debate that article.
