    The World Boxing Council has notified the camps of WBC super featherweight world champion Marco Antonio Barrera and WBC mandatory contender Manny Pacquiao that the free negotiations period for their mandatory title defense has begun. If no agreement is reached, the WBC will conduct a purse offer on January 12, 2007, in Mexico City.

      Whether Barrera wants it or not, he's going to have to get in there with the Pacman. See, that's why them ABC belts are only good for holding up your pants.

        this is crazy...that means an outside promoter can scoop the fight up if no agreements are made by jan 12.

        I hope arum isnt dumb enough to not negotiate with goldenboy! this would be stupid to let this fight slip by...

        its a huge fight too.
