Former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather will run it back with John Gotti III - the grandson of organized crime icon John Gotti.

Mayweather took to social media that his fight with take place in Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend. The 2024 NFL championship game is slated for February 11 at Allegiant Stadium.

Back in June, in Florida, Mayweather and Gotti collided in a pay-per-view exhibition fight.

Mayweather, even at 46-years-old, easily controlled the fight from start to finish.

The two fighters were often warned for trading obscenities in the ring.

During the sixth round, referee Kenny Bayless had reached his limit and waved off the fight after both fighters continued to talk trash in the ring.

The stoppage by Bayless led to the most memorable moment of the entire event.

After the fight was called off, Gotti became enraged and charged after Mayweather. They began to exchange punches as both camps rushed the ring in a mad scene. Multiple brawls broke out in the venue - leading to a near riot.

Being pegged as the instigator for the entire incident, the local commission would suspend Gotti for several months.

Gotti began his combat sports career in MMA, but after suffering his first defeat he turned to professional boxing. He secured two victories, with his last pro fight take place in January of this year.

Mayweather, who retired from the sport in 2017 after stopping UFC superstar Conor McGregor, has continued his in-ring career by staging exhibition bouts. The biggest exhibition fight to date, was a pay-per-view clash against social media star Logan Paul in 2021.
