The event took at the Roy Jones, Jr. Fight Academy, in Las Vegas Nevada. Towards the end of the press conference Rich Marotta, founder and CEO of the NVBHOF, made mention that the long anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao would be announced sometime on Thursday, which it wasn't. We asked Flava Flav for his thoughts on the bout.

On the prospect of the fight been made, Flav had three words, "it's about time". On the fight itself Flav would say, "We have two smart champions, in that ring, so I don't know [who to pick] right now."

As most fight fans, Flav is excited for a fight that he considers long overdue "The reason I've been looking forward to it is a fight that should have happened a long time ago."

Flav would also mention that he is a good friend of Roy Jones and visits his gym, "Roy is a good friend and this is where I work at. You can catch me Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, right here at Roy's."

To conclude, Flav had a message for all boxing worldwide fans, "Check this out, this is going to be a great boxing year."
