Trabzon, Turkey –  Former world champion Firat Arslan (42-8-2) knocked out Ghana-born Isaac Pa Kwesi Ankrah (14-8-0) in the first round. The 47 years old southpaw won the vacant World Boxing Organisation Inter-Continental cruiserweight title with this match.

Arslan talked to BoxingScene.com after his clear win. “I don’t think I deserve to leave with the losses in my last two title bouts against Yoan Pablo Hernandez and Marco Huck. That’s why I am still boxing. My aim is to be the oldest world champion in cruiserweight division.”

If Arslan gets the the title he is going to become the second oldest champion, after Bernard Hopkins, in the history of boxing. Hopkins broke his own record when he won against Tavoris Cloud in March 2013 a couple months after his 48th birthday.

Of Turkish decent, the veteran Arslan will face with Pascal Ndomba for the vacant GBU Title on June 16th.

WBO European super lightweight champion Fatih Kele? (11-0-1) picked up a TKO win over Russian opponent Maxim Churbanov (8-4-1). Kele? used his jabs effectively and kept a good distance during the bout and defended his belt. The bout was stopped due to Churbanov’s head injury at the first round. The local fighter Kele? will face with Artem Haroyan (14-1-0) this coming September.

WBO’s heavyweight European champion Ali Eren Demirezen (9-0-0) dominated the bout and kept his winning streak with a knockout against journeyman Tornike Puritchamiashvili (11-8-0).

Demirezen wanted to face Michael Wallisch but German heavyweight didn’t accept the opportunity to face the Turkish fighter.

Huseyin Cinkara (12-0-0) won vacant German International (BDB) Cruiserweight Title against Yury Bykhautsou (10-16-3) with fifth round knockout. Cinkara showed his defensive skills and Rolling and drop style. ?t was the fight of the night in Trabzon.

IBO International and WBO European titleholder, German cruiserweight Mario Daser (14-0-0), picked up a TKO win over Claudio Morroni Porto (8-4-1).

Local fighters cruiserweight Seyda Keser 3-0 and Mexican-Turkish lightweight Tar?k Sözer 4-0 kept their winning streak.
