Unbeaten heavyweights Filip Hrgovic and Marko Radonjic will square off on September 10, Matchroom Boxing announced Thursday morning. The 12-round bout will take place at Worthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria and will stream live on DAZN.

Both fighters have combined for 32 knockouts in their 34 victories. Hrgovic, a rising heavyweight many have tabbed a force to be reckoned with in the future, is eager to face a tough challenge in Radnojic.

“This is going to be a great fight between two top heavyweights,” said Hrgovic, who won a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games for Croatia. “I have a lot of respect for Radnojic for taking this fight when many wouldn’t. I’m excited to box at the Worthersee Stadion. I expect a lot of Croatians to travel to support me and I look forward to fighting in front of the Austrian fans too. Radonjic has a good record, he has won all his fights by knockout, but he has never (fought) anyone like me. On September 10, he will feel my power.”

Eddie Hearn, who co-promotes Hrgovic, is relieved Radonjic decided to step in and face Hrgovic.

“Filip Hrgovic is one of the most avoided men in the heavyweight division and finding an opponent with the courage to step in the ring with him has been a challenge,” said Hearn. “Virtually the whole of the IBF top-15 turned down the opportunity to face him in a final eliminator. It’s great to see the Croatian contender back in action against the unbeaten Radonjic. Both men have perfect records and I’m expecting an explosive heavyweight fight in Austria on September 10.”

Hrgovic (12-0, 10 knockouts) last fought on November 7 in Hollywood, Florida, stopping Rydell Booker in round 5. Hrgovic had dropped Booker in round 2 of the one-sided fight.

The 29-year-old also has notable victories over former world title challengers Eric Molina and Kevin Johnson and knockout wins over Mario Heredia and Amir Mansour.

Radonjic (22-0, 22 KOs) is originally from Montenegro and now resides in Ludwinshafen, Germany. In his last bout on March 19, Radonjic stopped Ozcan Cetinkaya in the opening round. His last three opponents are the only fighters he has faced thus far in his career that have had winning records.

The 31-year-old does have nine knockouts in the opening round and has yet to fight past the fourth round.
