Former triple world champion Fernando Montiel (47-4-2, 37KOs) officially announced that his company, Montiel Productions, will stage his fight with former Olympian, Arturo "Rey" Santos, on the 9th of June in Sinaloa.

The former champion at flyweight, super flyweight and bantamweight, has already been training hard for about four weeks, running in the morning, training at the gym in the afternoon and exercising in the evening.

"I took this fight because Santos is a fighter who had a great amateur career and he's considered to be a great professional. The fight will be very hard and, of course, I'm working hard to come away with this match," said Montiel.

Montiel denied the circulating rumors that Alexander Munoz would face him on this date.

"We discussed several opponents, but right now 'Rey' Santos is my opponent," Montiel said.
