WBA #2, WBO #8 and WBC #10 rated super middleweight Fedor Chudinov continued his path to the top of the ranks with an unsatisfactory win over German import Ronny Mittag (31-5-4, 16 KOs) in a fight cut short after two completed rounds due to an injury suffered by the German man.

Both fighters didn't hesitate to trade punches in Chudinov's trademark mano-a-mano style. Mittag, 33, was more fluid and moved more than Chudinov, 34. The Russian was more flat-footed but he also dug in with harder, more damaging blows. Mittage scored with combos in the first, while Chudinov did more damage with single punches.

In the second, both combatants used multi-punch combos more frequently. As was the case in the first, the German landed a bit more but Chudinov's combinations were harder and the left uppercut was also a major weapon for the Russian. The fight looked like a competitive match-up but when aspirations got even higher after the first two rounds, Mittage retired in his corner citing issues with his ankle.

Chudinov, clearly not impressed by a short night in the office, moved up to 25-2-1, 17 KOs. The show was promoted by the top Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov and took place at the Basket-Hall Arena in Kazan, Russia.

Ultra aggressive Russian Armenian Edgar Ghukasyan (9-3-1, 4 KOs) made short work of unlucky and unprepared Argentinean Gabriel Angel Ledezma (12-5-1, 6 KOs), stopping him in two rounds in truly dominant fashion.

Ghukasyan immediately threw himself into a brawl with Ledezma. The Russian Armenian ate some leather but tried to deal far more damage in wild and furious attacks. He was also quite dirty in doing so, holding Ledezma with one hand and punching with the another. Fouls were so blatant that referee Yuri Koptsev deducted a point from Ghukasyan in the first round.

In the second round, both fighters collided with their heads early on. A huge cut over Ledezma's right eye made the fight very uncomfortable for the guest fighter. Ghukasyan smelt blood and jumped on the Argentinean, breaking him down and dropping thrice for a TKO win. Time of stoppage was 1:05 of the round.

Aggressive Russian bantamweight Fatima Dudieva (11-0, 4 KOs) continued her rise to the ranks with a one-sided win over Uruguayan veteran Soledad "La Negra" Macedo (17-16-1, 4 KOs) in a scheduled eight-rounder.

Dudieva applied pressure early and forced Macedo to fight on the defensive. She used both jabs and hard right hands to keep durable Macedo at bay. Dudieva rocked Macedo several time throughout the contest but the 39-year old Uruguayan showed toughness and resilience to stay in the upright position. Final scores were identical: 80-72 - for Fatima Dudieva.

Stocky (5'6'') middleweight Rustam Islamov (4-0, 4 KOs) got his usual stoppage against the Uzbek import Khusan Yuldashev (8-14-1, 5 KOs), who was stopped in each of his fourteen losses.

--------------------------

It took Tair "The Sniper" Kelehsaev (8-0, 7 KOs) exactly 240 seconds to demolish fellow heavyweight Alexander Stepanov (2-7, 1 KO) in the second round. Kelehsaev landed a big right hand to the chin and then followed it by a smashing left hook to the liver. Stepanov, 34, was counted out on a knee.

--------------------------

Light middleweight Ali "Gatti" Turgunaliev (6-1, 3 KOs) was forced to work hard to deal with late sub Loikdjon Hodjiev (0-1) of Tajikistan. Turgunaliev, 23, was better in almost every department but the 19-year old Tajik has fought his heart out and stayed game for an entire four-rounder . Turgunaliev scored a unanimous decision.

--------------------------

Heavyweight Marifat Kasymov (1-0) overcame tough resistance from bigger fellow debutant Eduard Avdzhyan (0-1) with a majority decision over four rounds.

--------------------------

In a battle of pro debutants, heavyweight Anton Zaitsev made it look easy against overmatched and outsized Gia Torchinava, finishing him off with a double right cross at the very end of the first round. Time of stoppage was 2:56.
