Former Team Ireland amateur standout and now 11-0 professional Feargal McCrory is heading stateside as he links up with Andre Rozier's Havoc Team in his quest to take his career to the next level.

McCrory has also revealed that he will be training with Rozier in the future, as he looks to make a mark on the world scene and has made the decision to take his career stateside under the guidance of the world renowned trainer and his team in Brooklyn, New York.

The Irishman opened up on his link up with Rozier and Team Havoc, "Firstly I want to thank John Breen for all his help over the years. I'll still be training with John when I'm home but I'll be doing my camps with Andre and the team in Brooklyn from now on.

"Andre Rozier is an amazing trainer and a great person. He's trained 7 world champions and guided their careers in ways people don't realise. He does everything for his fighters and I'm very lucky to have been welcomed into his camp.

"From a managerial and advisory persepective, Andre has been around the top levels of professional boxing for decades. He knows how to look after a fighter and guide them to the right opportunities, and I'm hoping that my chance to shine on the big stage will come sooner rather than later."

McCrory stood out as an amateur, training alongside the likes of Ryan Burnett and Mick Conlan on his rise through the amateur ranks. Now undefeated as a professional, the Tyrone native discussed what he wants going forward in his career.

The now featherweight said, "I'm moving down in weight as I believe that I am a featherweight and I will be a force at 126 pounds on the world level. I've had my learning fights and learnt a lot as an amateur boxing internationally. I'm ready to be stepped up now and I believe the team I have around me can take me as far as I want to go in boxing going forward."
