The most important fight in the career of Erik Morales is taking place on November 18, when he meets Manny Pacquiao for the third time in the main event of pay-per-view in Las Vegas. After winning a decision in their initial meeting in 2005, Pacquiao evened up the odds in January 2006 when he stopped Morales in the tenth round or their rematch. After being knocked out for the first time in his career, Morales is looking for revenge in the third meeting and wants to prove to the boxing public that he is not ready to retire.

BoxingScene caught up with Morales to ask a few questions regarding the his upcoming trilogy bout.

BoxingScene.com: How do you feel for the third bout with Manny Pacquiao? Is it the most important bout of your life?

Erik Morales: I feel's it's a very important fight for my career because it's one that I can't afford to lose. I have to win.

BoxingScene.com: After watching the video of your second fight with Pacquiao, what mistakes did you see and what type of adjustments are you going to make for the trilogy?

Erik Morales: Every fight is different. Things always happen. You always make mistakes in fights and you are always looking at them. I'm sure there are things that I can see and I can correct, and that's what we are going to find out - which mistakes to correct.

BoxingScene.com: What difference did you experience from the first fight to the second fight?

Erik Morales: For the first fight, I was 100 percent, the weight wasnt a problem. The second fight, the weight was a problem and it took something out of me, so that was the big difference from the first one to the second one. I was much better prepared for the weight in the first fight than the second fight.

BoxingScene.com: For the third fight you are going to have a nutrionist and go through special training. Do you think those factors will be the difference in your conditioning for the third fight?

Erik Morales: Without a doubt. It has to reflect. I've been working a lot longer than I usually do for a fight. This time I have to prepare myself to go to camp so I think it will show.

BoxingScene.com: Do you want to knock Manny Pacquiao out, to redeem yourself after he knocked you out in the last fight?

Erik Morales: I just want to show the people what I can do. I'm not chasing a knockout. If it does happen, it happens. All I know is that in the last fight I was tired and that's how I got beat.

BoxingScene.com: Some people have suggested that you had too many wars and maybe you should consider hanging up the gloves. What are your thoughts on that?

Erik Morales: It's a not a vote. Nobody is going to vote me out of boxing. It has to be my decision and that's what will happen. When I think it's time to go - I'll go.
